Greetings from the Office of Placement and Career Services!
We would like to request you to extend our invitation to your students for our upcoming events that aim to assist penultimate and graduating students transition from the world of school to the world of work. These are: GOT WORK (General Orientation on Transitioning to Work), APEX: Ateneo Placement Exposure Series, IPAD (Interview Performance Appraisal and Development), and our capstone event, the Career and Practicum Fair.
The GOT WORK series provides students with basic information on the internship and job application process, how to craft an effective resume/job portfolio, how to ace the job interview, and how to network with people from the world of work. Young alumni are invited to share their career stories and their experiences transitioning from school to work.
The APEx series features various career fields that aim to spark interest and/or match one’s individuality with occupational interests. Through roundtable sessions, practitioners from multi-nationals, organizations, start-ups, government, and graduate schools share the nature of the field, demands of the field, and competencies needed in the field.
The IPAD aims to prepare students for actual job interviews. Mock interview sessions are conducted by HR practitioners from a variety of companies.
The Career and Practicum Fair, our capstone event enables students to explore career options. This week-long paperless campus recruitment event allows students to visit booths of companies and organizations, give access to their resumes, and land their first job!
These events may be beneficial for the students as they finish their degree programs, and in discerning what career path they may want to take. We would like to ask for your support by promoting these events and requesting your students to attend them. Our first event is GOT Work for SOSS and SOSE on Sept 11, 2017, Monday, 4:00 – 7:00 at CTC 413.
